Sheryl Ewing has been Executive Director with FSN Southeastern since 1999 and has over 35 years of experience directing non-profit organizations working with adults and children with special needs. Sheryl has a MA Human Services as well as graduate hours in special education and public administration. She holds a certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University, one in School Mental Health from ECU, and one in Strength-based Family Worker from Temple University. Sheryl is also a certified provider of Triple P (Positive Parenting) Stepping Stones. She has served on the NC Foster Parent Association, NC Infant/Toddler Mental Health Association, several Local Interagency Coordination Councils and NC ICC and various statewide task forces as a voice for people who have disabilities. She began her career in developmental disabilities as a full time tutor in Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Disorders. Sheryl and her husband Mark have five children between them (now all adults), have fostered eight children and have eleven grandchildren. Sheryl had a NICU experience with her first born child and then one with twin grandchildren who were born 3 months premature.
